1. Merseyrail did a good job moving Giant-seekers around, but with holes in their provision for everyone else
2. the other TOCs displayed the piddle poverty which those of us in and around Liverpool have comw to expect, with even more rubbish consequences than usual.

Yep. I'd agree with that.

I don't know what the answer is. Apparently it brought over a million people to the city centre, far more than would be normally expected which was good for the local economy. I managed to get to work on time when required on the Friday and Sunday as was my Brother despite having to cross the river. It inconvenienced large numbers of people but it is difficult to quantify how they may benefit from such a massive event in the city.
