There are a number of portaloos at Chester at the moment whilst the main concourse toilets are being refurbished.

Yesterday, went to use the one which wasn't occupied.

I discovered why -some someone had decided to wipe you know what over the hot water knob and the soap dispenser.

Why some people deliberately mess up public toilets, this was obviously not an accident.

Have they never desperately needed a look and found the only serviceable one was vandalised or filthy?

Because they are idiots who either do it for a 'laugh' (especially if they have had a bit too much to drink) or as a drunken dare within mates.
