Merseyrail 142 one left!

Yesterday my friend told me that 1 merseyrail 142 was left as he had seen it running from Leeds To Doncaster. Can anyone tell me if this is true because I commute from Sheffield to Doncaster every day and I never see it.0

Ive seen it running on the Southport-Manchester route very occasionally.

What do you mean by "one left" - do you mean one left in Merseyrail Livery? I was under the impression that the 142s have all been in Northern colours since around February?

I thought they were all in NR colours too. But my friend said it was in the merseyrail colours.

There have been no 142s in Merseyrail livery for a long time now.

The last two in Non-Northern livery were two ex-atn's, One of which was 093, which continously dodged the paintshop despite having a long holiday in the Manchester area before returning North. Both got done a while after.

There's still the old Merseyrail in NR colours not been changed inside

TBH I don't really care what colour they're in just so long as they get round to gutting the interiors. Fortunately I haven't had the pleasure of one for a while so maybe, just maybe..........

It was working Sheffield-Scunthorpe duties on Thursday although considering how well travelled Northern units are, it could be anywhere by now!

Yellow 142. You lot need to got to Specsavers. There is a class 950 in yellow and a 150 carrying very yellow vinyls but there are no 142's (or other Pacers) carrying a predominently yellow livery.
