Melksham to Hereford - valid via B+H on the return?

Hi all,

Pushing my luck a fair bit, but I was wondering yesterday:

Is a return portion of a Melksham to Hereford return ticket valid on the return via the B+H between Reading and Westbury?

Seems plausible to me, and I'm certain it's valid to do Hereford > Reading > Swindon then onwards, but what about Hereford > Reading > Westbury then onwards?
