Megabus/train advanced booking seems to have ground to a halt at 11 December. It's been offering no fares past that date for weeks (I've checked London to Liverpool and a few other routes).

The only reason I can think of is that there will be no deep discounts for the Christmas period. Any other thoughts or information on this?

Megatrain generally open up 45 days before travel. (When this site went live, it had a fault that was allowing people to book journeys well in to 2011!)

And I took advantage of that fault to book loads of trips at £1 well into 2011. Now I just hope that they'll still let me travel on that. :D

If they've debited your card and/or taken the payment for the journeys you booked at £1 then the contract has been established and they must honour it. If,for example,Play.com or Amazon were advertising a dvd box set for £4,when the real price was £40,they would only have to supply it to you for £4 once they had taken the payment. Up to that point they would be entitled to cancel your order.

You should be OK unless the service is withdrawn. In which case, they'll give you a full refund.
