Is it possible to upgrade to firstclass when travelling on a Megatrain ticket? I was thinking on the Warrington - Glasgow and return corridor with Virgin.

If you mean purchasing Weekend First, then yes you can. However if you want to EXCESS the ticket to, say, Anytime First, to use during the week - then no you can't. It's not excessable.

Technically speaking, it's correct that you can't be sold the Weekend First on top of a Megabus ticket. But I challenge you to find a guard who won't sell it!

On VT flows you will be (very) hard pressed to find a megatrain ticket on Fri, Sat and Sun.

Most are only available Mon-Thrs.
