I just got back from London last night using EMT's First Class, but I'm travelling back down on Sunday using Megabus from Huddersfield, changing at East Midlands Parkway onto a slower, all stops (almost) EMT service to St Pancras.

Has anyone ever done this combination, and if so, what's Megabus (coach) like? Also, is it a case of find a seat on the train or are we allocated certain seats? My confirmation shows nothing to suggest this.

The return journey has cost me just £20.95 and journey times aren't bad at all. Is it good value though?

The coaches on that route are now the newer Elite's which found themselves displacing the older Panther's. The coach itself for the jump down the M1 and should have power facilities available as well as a toilet.
When it comes to getting on the train at East Midlands Parkway you simply find any unreserved seat available at take it.

Thanks Sam.

The toilet is important as I'm Type 2 Diabetic. :(

Good luck finding a seat! Sunday services on the MML are very busy, especially because of the poor Sunday service.
What service are you on from East Mids? If it's a HST aim for coaches D&E, these are unreserved, and can be found at the centre of the train.
If you're on a 222, the unreserved coach is C, I think?

If EMT were expecting this particular train to be busy, they wouldn't be flogging such cheap Megatrain fares on it, surely?
