I am clueless what do they mean by staging?
Probably something to do with their management strategy for the website development.

A new version of software such as a website will often go through multiple different statuses before the end user gets to see it. This varies a bit from project to project but, for example, you might have:
  • development - there is active work in progress
  • staging - the work is pretty much finished, nothing majorly new needs to be added, and it is being tested internally and prepared for release
  • release - the work is complete and the new version of the website (or whatever) is now in general use
It's a bit odd that the "staging" one (which is probably an upcoming version) is publicly accessible. Perhaps a mistake.

Found an archived version of the Megabus site that is not accessed by web archive?
I am clueless what do they mean by staging?
It looks like D8 are designers of a megabus site. This looks to be a test (or staging/development) site (and probably shouldn't be available to the public).
