If I get offered a non-safety critical role, would the medical allow me to take prescribed medication controlling pain and blood pressure? Are they only seeking illegal drugs?
Railway medicals don't just look for illegal drugs. There are other medications which would not be allowed because of their side effects. However, as you're talking about a non safety critical role so I would imagine that your medications wouldn't be a problem. The best thing to do is be up front and honest and explain your medications to the company and see what they say.

Please note that we only allow one account per person, but if you find yourself in a situation in which you'd like a separate identity for this section then please contact us directly and explain your reasoning or concerns rather than setting up a separate new account.
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
