Was offered the job 2weeks ago - medical 2 weeks time !

Congratulations! Which TOC is this for and which role?

I was offered a job with Northern on 18th May, pending medical. I’m eager to get started!

Edit - Never mind! Just read your previous posts! Congratulations again ha!

I done my medical for TFL just before the lockdown in early march. Do you guys think I'd have to redo mine?

Possibly. I know TfL like to have clearance for medical a month before the training/start date so they may deem your previous medical as invalid

CSA 2 full time! My training start date was meant to be april 14th
I applied for the same position. Got offered the role on new years eve. Just waiting for medical. I did call them few days ago and they said they have restarted medical but in small numbers like 2 at a time.

TfL are currently booking Medicals for CSA2 position. As Mwc10 said, they’re booking them in small numbers due to Covid19. They book medical in order of conditional offer being received. Obviously there is a backlog and they are currently up to 8th December 2019.

I've emailed recruitment today to find out as I've already had a medical in march! Hopefully it's just a matter of waiting for a training date.

Spoke to northern yesterday. Medical will be in the next two weeks. They are looking at training course in July. This is for conductor at Lime Street.

I had an interview with NWR last week and they said they are issuing provisional contracts conditional on passing medical. I asked what the conditions would be as think i'd be fine bar glasses (not colour blind) and they say shouldn't have an issue. Now just wondering from anyone who could tell me what is involved?

Cheers

Not great news as far as TfL medical are concerned. I spoke with them this morning and they said they have stopped doing medicals again for a while. She said it could be a long wait :(

Had my periodical medical for Northern the other day over the phone, I'm a driver.
They said they'll need to see me face to face before December. So those waiting medical's expect to be a while.
This Covid has taken a wrecking ball to anything and everything.
