Medical final stage ??

Hello. I'm new to this forum. I have recently passed assessments and interview for a TOC for the role of trainee train driver. I had medical yesterday and everything passed. Is this the final stage and just because I've had a medical does this usually mean I'll be offered a job or do a lot of people do medicals only to be told sorry better luck next time??

As far as I know most toc's medicals are the last hurdle. If you pass then that normally means a job offer

I had a verbal offer before the medical, with a paper contract and an offer letter coming out once I passed it.

Your next stage will be the CRB (criminal check) and referencing. So unless you've been naughty or lied, the offer will be rejected. Other than that, medical is the last stage assessment. Congratulations, you've made it!

Basically this is spot on however if by any chance you have been untruthful about sickness or absenteeism, criminal offences especially alcohol related or any other things such as past medical issues that you did not divulge this could mean a no offer but this is a very rare occurrence.
