Came across this last night- a train that could launch a nuclear armed ICBM

according to the caption, in service until 2006.

I have been reading about these I will post some links when I am on my PC there was also a train used in the Kosovo crisis that looked like something from mad max

Makes you wonder if America has their own trainset, just to keep up with the Jones you know

They were considering it (see here) but the end of the Cold War brought an end to the program. It looks like it never got much further than testing rather than being a fully deployed weapon system like the Soviet/Russian version.
