Had an email from DB about future reservations. Says not much at. There are no changes when I check the DB app. 'Possible' changes that 'may' happen. How unhelpful?

Does it mean they may run and our seats reserved? Or is it trying to clumsily say that one or more of the connections has changed? Or maybe different stock being used.

It suggests a train two hours later, but no offer of seat reservations? Seems wrong that I can't change seats I've booked and paid for, if they don't exist!

I've heard quite a few people say that DB long distance trains are very unreliable these days - delays, diversions and cancellations. I used to think (and know) they used to be excellent.

Anybody help with what I should or can do please?

TIA.

Maybe this is the successor of the mails that would say scary things about your journey after even the tiniest change to one of your trains, even if it wouldn't affect you.

In any case, check your journey on the DB website/app. If there are no changes, then all is fine. If the train numbers remain the same, then your reservations will remain valid. If a train number has changed, then your reservation on that train doesn't exist anymore, since it's linked to the train number. You can then either call DB and be rebooked free of charge, or book a new reservation yourself and claim back the extra expenses after the journey.
