Meadowhall to Nottingham ticket validity 24/02

I have a ticket to travel via northern from Meadowhall to Nottingham. I bought the ticket online from National Rail and at the time of purchase, it stated that it would be a direct train through. However, I know now that the Northern train (1054 dep from MHS) will terminate at SHF.

Is there a lifting of advance purchase restrictions which will give me the right to travel on the next EMT that will go from SHF to NOT or will I have to buy a new ticket? Any advice of a point to the right course of help would be appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to the forum. No you won't need to buy a new ticket, your current one will be passed on any EMT service from Sheffield (please use full station names not just codes)
