Hi All.

I have just been messed around downloading OPEN BVE on Vista.

Now I have the program working I can't seem to get any routes to work.

They have downloaded as '7Z Files' - what can I do?

Ok - now I have got to the game play and it is very slow.

Why can't I seem to move out of a platform?!

Doors shut (I hear the shutting sound - boarding complete) so I press Z for power increase and there is no movement.

Please Give Some suggestions!

F for reverser into forward, space bar for DRA off, open your eyes and read the Quick Start, the list is endless.

:lol::lol::lol:

dont forget hold down 2

Press (in this order) F, V, INS, 2 (Hold untill engine fires), F, < (untill brake is off), Space, Pg Down (a MUST do) then Z,Z,Z,Z,Z,Z after you have stalled press CTRL + ALT + DEL and shut yer PC down

or Z,Z,Z,A,Z,Z just keep the ammiter on the red line ;)

good fun

Why would you want to press page down? And I think you mean INS not DEL (for cancelling AWS). Also worth noting that he may not be driving a loco so the instructions above may not be strictly relevant. ;)

Page Down cancels out all the beeps and bongs so you can run reds and speed  ;)

if its a unit then dont bother with pressing A then just press Z, if its a combined PH then Q does the brakes not > and <

Right Having another go - this time with a 390, screen shot:

open bve help needed.jpg

Firstly I committed my first mistake and closed the doors early - but lets not worry about that!

DRA already off.

Then I pressed F and the indicator at the bottom left went from N to F,

Then I started to press Z and the power increase started notching away, but nothing happened!

What have I done wrong?

Have you done all the canceling out AWS and DRA by hitting the space bar and INS?

Right - cancelling out AWS - Keyboard Q?

DRA off at this point, whats INS for? :|

INS is for AWS, DEL is if you hear the "beep beep beep beep" but if you want to stop all this hit Page Down once, Q is to apply the brakes on the 390 and Voyger (< and > everything else)

Don't know if this is any help but quite often after downloading a new OpenBVE route or train I find that I have to do a reboot of my computer to get the best frame rates and everything working fully!
