I have been wondering for sometime where the ME signals are controlled from. Does this stand for Marylebone? I can't see where the actual "box" is.

I always knew ME as Maidstone East :-?

Sorry, I was referring to the Chiltern line between Aynho and Marylebone.

I can confirm that ME is for Marylebone. The 'box' is in the station buildings, not a traditional box as such.

OK, thanks for that. I knew the old signalling was replaced in the early nineties. West Ruislip box is still standing, not sure why they have left it there. Princess Risborough box has survived into the custody of the Chinnor & PR Railway.
