MDS 862V

Hello ive been recently trying to find as many photos of MDS 862V a scottish national greenway that had run for kelvin central and midland bluebird as it was basically part of the family if anyone has photos of it would you be able to share looking for mostly midland bluebird but any photos of it are appreciated aswell

Oo thanks ive been trying to find a place like that this will be helpful and ive already seen every photos of mds on flickr so far so ive had to now come to forums and see if anyone has photos

I don't have any pictures at all I'm afraid and could only suggest searching the registration in Google above the flicker suggestion above.

I do remember when it was "new" in Dumbarton around the mid 90s. I don't remember any fanfare, it largely ran on the D4 and D5 which I never had reason to be on, but it was a hugely varied and interesting scene back then, with Kelvin Central being in the process of switching to the KCB Network branding about that time.

The Greenway joined a motley crew of mostly SBG era Nationals, Leopards and Dorchesters, amongst other things. The very bouncy little half height Fleetline from my avatar being perhaps the oddest oddity of them all!

Loch Lomond Coaches competed with a few B10Ms and Leopards.

I believe the Greenway later switched to another Kelvin depot, then Midland Bluebird. I remember reading it reached preservation then sadly did not survive.

Yeah when it had moved over to midland bluebird it was my dad’s dads bus then when it left my dad had bought it for preservation then he couldnt keep it sold it to a guy that said he would take care of it which he clearly didnt and it ended up being parts at E&M Horseburgh
