The annual Spring (May) railtour by the Mid Cheshire Rail Users Association has been cancelled. There was never one advertised. This be on account of the ongoing problems at DBS. Plus, being a part-time amateur set-up - MCRUA has not the personnel to 'put through the grinder' !
There be talk of an Autumn (September) railtour, but, no details.

MCRUA railtours tend to be aimed at the 'general public' rather than us anoraks - bog standard motive power, mark two carriages and a straightforward routing. Good for a day-out mind. :neutral:

There will be a MCRUA railtour later this year - courtesy of Compass Tours !
Wednesday 11th September 2013 - Hooton to Carlisle, outward via the Settle Carlisle line, return via the Cumbrian Coast line.
Some may consider this to be a 'cheat' !
