Waiting for a train to Cardiff at Bristol TM around 11.50 am today, when 61306 Mayflower turned up with one blood & custard Mk 1 coach, waited at the platform end, and whistled and set off again after a few minutes. I looked at Real Time Trains on my phone and I think it was supposed to have hauled a tour from Bishops Lydeard but had been unable to due to an 'incident at Taunton', so the tour was now to be diesel hauled throughout. Anybody know what happened?

According to reports on National Preservation, it was supposed to be picking up the Bristol-Shrewsbury leg of a Saphos Welsh Marches tour.
However it couldn't reach Bristol in time due to the incident at Taunton, so the tour went forward diesel hauled.

The B1 and support coach were eventually sent to Shrewsbury on their own so they could still haul the return leg of the tour.
