May timetable release and advanced ticketing via NR system

Because I can't buy intercity tickets at advance prices yet for April or May, am I correct in presuming this has something to do with the May timetable?

If not, why can't I buy advance tickets from Preston/Manchester to London?

You are trying to book TOO EARLY.

Nothing to do with the May timetable - Virgin have not released tickets beyond late April
