May 2025 Timetable Change - Confirmed Changes Only

Heads up for those who may want to travel First Class on the local services in Devon/Cornwall on the "standard only" IET services since the timetable change. Be prepared to be removed as I was earlier, very misleading! Shame to see that the space is still being wasted IMO.

Where are they advertised as "standard only"? If you look at the timetables online, it clearly states that the services are run with an intercity express train with first class.

Take a look at at the 17:15 from Penzance, operated by an 80x, but no first class tickets are sold, and you can see on Realtime trains it's standard class seating only, even if signs in the train say First Class, it's not!

If you look at a long distance train that has First Class in the system (e.g. the 17:50 from Penzance to Paddington), it shows First Class tickets there

When trying to book first class on ticket sites e.g, the GWR site the option for these services does not appear where as previously they were advertised as having it available.

The only place where first class exists still is on GWRs timetable PDF simply stating it is an IET with First. Which clashes with everything not giving the option to book it.

In the interim they are being covered by 80x stock which has first class but it is not advertised so the transition is smooth when it occurs? Otherwise the opposite risks occurring - first class tickets being sold for trains which do not provide it.

With less than a week to go before the timetable change, what's happening with the NRT?

The usual site at fabdigital : https://timetables.fabdigital.uk/nrt/may2025/ : is missing a lot of tables, the cover sheet, the 'all files' zip etc.

I note that this has now been updated with all the missing files (at least it seems so on first glance), and has various tables marked as having been updated yesterday. Good to see this is still being updated
