Maximum date validity on National Express flexible ticket question

I have a fully flexible and refundable National Express ticket for which I wish to do a date change. The outward date was 1 January 2024 and I understand the maximum validity is 3 months. Does this mean I could change the return leg to 1 April 2024 or would it have to be 31 March 2024?

Is there any reason why you have not approached National Express with the question and ask them? Whilst people here MAY give you the correct answer others may not!!
