I’m off to the Wales v England match on Saturday heading into Cardiff Centre. Now I know they have some kind of queuing system for different points of the country but how easy is this to get on my correct booked train?

Its easy to get off the train in the day, just after the event where there are 'ques' for train to Swansea, Bristol, London, Gloucester etc and the Valley's, outside Central you begin to wait for the train and then when it is ready to board, or sufficient space is on the platform the staff allow passenger through.

Suppose it depends what the correct train is, but the queueing system is very well organised.

Different destinations have clearly identified queues with Newport usually different from the various trains that might go through Newport to stop overcrowding on that stretch meaning longer distance passengers can not get their train.

Used the system to get trains to Newport, Bristol, Manchester and London after games there with no problems.

I'm not going and haven't been before, but what if you're on an advance ticket? And could you be unable to get the last train of the day (if an event ends late and there are only one or two trains left in the day)?

Is there anything to stop you walking to Queen Street and getting a train to Central, thus skipping the queue?
