I read on Wikipedia that the platform is built and ready for use.

Is LM still intending to extend the services?

If not, what is it down to? Is this due to cost grounds, or pathing etc.?

if they did it would require reversal at bletchley but yes the platform is ready, the only way they can do it is by converting the junction with the flyover into a triangle which would be difficult because there is an ex TMD and an industrial estate in the way

Based on a diagram included in the LNW(S) Baseline Declaration (see attachment), extending the service to Milton Keynes today would require a reversal on the Slow Lines or 3 reversals involving use of the sidings, both of which are clearly impractical (if at all possible).

However, I believe remodelling works in the Bletchley area will clear the way for an extension (see page 39 of this document). They're due to start within a year.
