does anyone know what stock this is being operated with. as far as i'm aware london midland are only keeping 3 car 150's which are to long for some platforms and the 172's apparantly won't work this service, plus the 153's get overcrowded at peak times and 2x 153's won't fit either, and i thought the 153's were going anyway?

AFAIK there is no planned changes to stock on the Marston Vale, and LM have said they won't use 172s. Whether or not that's completely true, only time will tell.

I can see 172s taking over the line eventually, but I reckon the 150s serving the MV line will be the last to go

Do marston vale crews sign 150/2's and if not why?, also how often is the stock rotated and which drivers drive them back to tyseley?

Unless 150/2 are radically different to 150/1, I would imagine that BY crews do sign them. Had 150 125 between Bedford and Bletchley a few weeks ago though I am not sure how common this is as I do not get down that way much these days.

No, we don't sign 150/2's, we would have to have the conversion course, as they have some differences from 150/1's.

Stock go's back once a week, BLY crew takes it as far a COV, then a BHM driver takes it from there to Tyseley.

I heard the 172s were also too long for some of the platforms on the marston vale line?
