The German high frequency DOO rural model might work (see the thread about bus style operation), but it would never get past the unions, particularly as LM has no other DOO at all.

About time it moved with the times and opened some platforms for the Kempston Retail Interchange park to encourage shoppers too.

I said this months ago. I dare say it that it would at least double the usage of the line. If you get rid of Kempston Hardwick and move the station nearer to the retail park, it wouldn't really hurt anything.


As for 153's, just bring out some preserved units to replace them.
