One of the great things about travelling by train in Holland and perhaps in some other countries too is the information given - namely, bright yellow unmissable poster boards, one of which has a complete network map, and the others of which have train times on in alphabetical order of popular destination stations.

There's no reason why the same couldn't be done here for the medium size to large stations - yes, we are in a bigger country with more railway miles, but the map could at least show the essential elements (as per the National Rail main stations map), perhaps with a regionally specific map on a different board, if necessary.

Yes, the maps and timetables in the Netherlands are great. It's a pity they haven't got that map on their website!

That is the sort of map that should be on every main station in the UK.

If someone does a petition, I'll sign it. Unfortunately, petitions never seem to do anything useful.
