I happened to jump on the District line at Mansion House last week and was surprised to find that the middle road had been ripped up. Anyone know when that happened?

About late October or November last year I think, I definitely saw it removed before Christmas. There's a few posts about it in the D stock withdrawal thread in the LU sub-forum, around about here, the last use was in early October:
