Yesterday afternoon I attempted to travel from Manor Road through to Rainford.
The normal cost of this one-way journey would be £5.10
Due to a car accident last week I am now reliant totally on public transport and my intended journey was;
Manor Road 1626
Kirkby 1726
Kirkby 1736
Rainford 1744
and then the 157 Bus from Rainford at 1807 towards Billinge.
As all of the journeys were within Merseyside, I purchased a Saveaway all zones on a walrus card for £5.40
The 1736 was cancelled which meant waiting for the 1836 ... however the 1807 bus is the last bus on the route so on arrival at Rainford I would have had to complete my journey by taxi. Based on that information, I chose to get a taxi from Kirkby directly home.
Whilst the taxi was my choice and I am not expecting a refund ... do I claim delay repay from Northern for £5.40 or as I was unable to complete my journey do I claim a refund? As this is a Walrus Card (I do have a receipt) will this complicate matters?
Look forward to your replies ...
