Plans are developing for a water taxi service between Manchester and Salford, with a shortlist of potential operators and initial designs for the "stops" which will be at:
  • Lowry Hotel (for Central Salford/Manchester city centre)
  • Ordsall
  • Old Trafford
  • Imperial War Museum North
  • MediaCityUK

Additional Stops I would consider essential -

- Cathedral
- Princes Bridge

And....

- Ordsall should be both at & called Regent Road

Also, a much longer vessel would be a priority.

TfGM should have taken the lead on this long ago. I wonder if Merseytravel (Shipping) would be considered a worthy tender bidder ;)

this is an excellent idea. especially if it is tied into the local transport system, gmpte etc. Having just been to Hamburg, they used the water ways extremely well with modern, fast boats, and they were cheap too, included in the greater hamburg transport plan.
