There's a short bit of open air space in the otherwise buried sections of Victoria station, between platforms 3 and 4.

My question is, were the money/inclination there, would there be any capacity to expand this little section to bring some more daylight back to the station, or is everything else directly buried beneath the arena?

Basically this. You can see from the image below that the areas above P5/P6 are under the main structure of the arena. A shame as the open section makes a really positive difference.
