Leaving it to the day of travel means you won't get the Virgin or TPE advance rates. The fares you've found sound very good for "day of travel" rates!!
she HAD an advance but has lost it along with her yp16-25 pass.
assuming the off peaks are valid we now have 42.90 by splitting once at preston.

It would be helpful if when using the three letter codes you also specified the full name of the station along side the code in the first instance, this way it is easier to read and people don't have to look up the codes.

Threads don't tend to get locked here as others may still have ideas that may help people in the future.
