on short notice.

I.e tomorrow.

Leaving time is irrelevant. But I have to be in Aberdeen by 1800.

Much appreciated.

Fly there, megabus back

Or just suck it up and buy an open return, unless someone else can come up with some decent splits?

Train there megabus back it is then...

Or get a silly o clock megabus departure tomorow morning and do that both ways.

BMI Have sod all running up tomorow from MAN.

FlyBE can get you up for a basic fare of £67 tomorrow morning from MAN, nothing on Sunday...

So if I was doing it I'd either, drive...
Not come back till tuesday...

With no railcards:
Fly up tomorow morning (7am Departure, Terminal Three, Manchester Airport) for £68, rather than the £98 SDS rail fare
Megabus back (that you said is an option) NYD.

If you do take the train the route Lancaster SVR is £103.90 (8A) valid on any train in both directions but no break of journey is allowed.

Depending on the cost of Megabus for your return it might be worth it, although personally I think almost anything is worth it to avoid such a long coach trip.

0557 Manchester to Aberdeen change at Leeds arrive 1305 is only £53.70 (with discount) on the East Coast website. Need to put via Leeds in the search.

Going later in the day, there's a £57 advance still showing on Trainline (but not East Coast) for the 1153 York direct to Aberdeen arrive 1709 if you buy another ticket to get you to York.

A no brainer for me, that would be my choice for that fare, be there in just over an hour.
You wont find any trains in Scotland from Aberdeen on NY day, all lines are closed but for the ECML and WCML (as far as Edinburgh and Glasgow)
