Manchester Piccadilly to Wembley Central

Good morning, very occasional poster here and occasional rail traveller
I'm looking to get an open return to Wembley Central on Sunday from Manchester Piccadilly, is the following fare accepted on Avanti trains as far as Euston and then on to Wembley Central?
I'm assuming this is okay?

Just a thought, are you going to near Wembley Central or are you going to the Stadium? If the latter, you will find it more convenient to go to Euston and take the Met from Euston Square to Wembley Park, paying contactless for the Tube part.

I'm not 100% sure about the double back but if it's sold against an itinerary via Euston that itinerary is contractually valid.

Thanks, I find Wembley Park too crowded after games so prefer to walk a bit further to avoid this

Manchester to Wembley Central “any permitted” is explicitly valid via London. The Willesden Junction routeing point passes the fares check.

Some stations further out of London, eg Watford Junction, offer more expensive “via London” tickets because the only alternative, cheaper tickets are valid “not via London”. This isn’t the case for Wembley Central.

Yes, it is. The cross-London marker can be taken as a good indicator of that.

A ticket sold in conjunction with an itinerary will always be valid for the trains specified on the itinerary.

Whether Wembley Park is more convenient may depend on where in the stadium you are seated. For much of the stadium it will be much quicker and easier to get away toward Euston by using Wembley Stadium station and a train into Marylebone. It's a bit more of a faff getting from Marylebone to Euston but worth it for the time saving.

Worth considering Wembley Stadium station rather than Wembley Park. Chiltern operate an enhanced service on event days, the station is very close to the stadium but doesn’t normally suffer the sort of queues seen at Wembley Park.

You can use contactless to/from Marylebone.
