Does anyone know why TPE services from Blackpool/Preston are diverted into Victoria on Sunday morning whilst services from Liverpool run into Piccadilly as normal?

If it's engineering work it must be just the Windsor Link which is affected.
Is it electrification work?

Yes, it's the line between Salford Crescent-Ordsall Lane (I think) that's shut for electrification preparation - the line from Liverpool via Widnes to Manchester is still open.
