Manchester-Derby Query

Is a Manchester-Derby ticket valid via Crewe?

I know its valid via Stoke but not to sure on the Crewe option, I did do the full route from Derby-Manchester via Crewe last Saturday but there was no ticket check from Stoke to Crewe on EMT service and no ticket check on Virgin West Coast service from Crewe-Piccadilly.

Yes, it's valid via Crewe, either on map TM or combination MS+EM. Have a look here to see the exact routes that that permits.
