Manchester City Players do Metrolink Announcements

Manchester City fans travelling to the Etihad Stadium this weekend will hear some familiar voices on their matchday journey.

City manager Robert Mancini and players Vincent Kompany, Joe Hart and James Milner have lent their voices to the city's tram service to and from the Etihad Campus stop on match days.

The new messages will debut on Sunday when City host Leeds United in the FA Cup.

I think it might come as a surprise for the fans traveling!

I listened to these on the Beeb last night and thought it's an interesting idea but ultimately nothing more than a gimmick. Kompany's one is pretty good though; he makes it sound like an airline announcement!

Is there a pre-recorded Man City one for when there is a problem with the points?

If only Balotelli hadn't left. Whenever something went wrong his voice could come on asking "Why Always Me?"
