Manchester - Brighouse

Am I correct in thinking a Manchester - Brighouse return is valid either via Huddersfield or Todmorden ?

There are two fares, 'Any Permitted', and 'Via Hebden Bridge'.

The Any Permitted permits via Todmorden/Hebden Bridge, because it's a mapped route, and also because the 'via Hebden Bridge' fare is cheaper. The Any Permitted also permits via Huddersfield because it's the shortest route.

It is not clear whether it is permitted to take the shortest route, which is via Huddersfield, on the 'via Hebden Bridge' ticket. However you may prefer to buy the 'Any Permitted' ticket anyway, as the price difference is only 40p.

I did notice that Brighouse (any permitted) is the same price as Huddersfield ...

It may also possible to travel to Brighouse via Huddersfield (but not Hebden Bridge) on a Manchester - Sowerby Bridge ticket (which is cheaper.)
