Manchester Airport to Worcester Foregate Street

Hi guys
I'm going from Manchester Airport to Worcester Foregate Street on Saturday 12th November with a same day return, and would like some ideas for places to split tickets. I dont particularly mind which route it takes as long as it is as cheap as possible without commiting me to specific trains (I want to Arrive before 14:30 and depart after 17:30)

Wilmslow station is 5 miles away from the airport and would avoid the need to go north to Manchester to come south. That could be useful, depending on how much the taxi charges. I'll let you and further replies to stew on that.

Looks like you can do it for

£32.70 by buying a

1 x Adult - West Midlands Day Range at £20.00 which works from Shrewsbury

and 1 x Adult - Off-Peak Day Return at £12.70 from Wilmslow to Shrewsbury

A Wilmslow to Crewe ticket is £8.40 for a CDR

Why not just get the ticket from Manchester Airport though, since Wythenshawe to Wilmslow is a pain, you might as well travel to Stockport for the time it would take to get there by bus.

Stockport to Stoke off peak day return (Virgin Trains only) is also £8.40 if you take up Nym's suggestion of starting at Stockport.
