I'm wondering why so many TOC's perform their shortlisting, interviewing processes so differently, is there any set way, better way to do it

First off for myself and other candidates for ATW was shorlisting for the job.

Then it was interview with HR and a Driver Manager..... then assesments, GBT, fast reaction, etc, then next process is structured interview and medical

Why do some TOC's do the structured interview first and leave Driver manager interview till last ?

I'd assume it saves on costs when you know the people you're sending to assessment have already passed an interview.

I meant the interview parts. Some do the structured first and driver manager last. Is there any reason for this?

Costs an awful lot of money to send a candidate through the assessment process only to fail at the end. I assume that the percentage of failures is higher if sent to assessment first rather than interviewing first.

I mean interviews only.

I can appreciate they will only send suitable candidates to assessments due to costs, but it's the interviews I'm referring to.

From what I've read on here they're done differently

Some TOC's do the structured first and some do the driver manager interview first, is there a reason why they do this and which if any is beneficial ?
thanks

With regards to ATW it was down to the tests are changing soon and people who do pass and don't have a job,get put on hold they are not quite sure if the assessment test are valid for 5 years yet.
