Man Picc to Euston "via" Liverpool // odd ticketing

I'm going to Liverpool tonight, buying an off-peak return from London Euston. Tomorrow I'm going to Manchester from Liverpool, buying an anytime day-return. In the evening, I'm returning to London. Can I do this journey with my two unused return portions straight from Manchester down to Euston? Or do I have to travel through Liverpool again? I have a railcard so peak restrictions on Virgin aren't an issue.

You will be ok with one ticket. Just buy a London to Liverpool return, use it in the morning from Liverpool to Manchester, break your journey, and then carry on later on.

Legend, thanks for replying so quickly. Just a q...I need to arrive in Manchester at about 9.30 so I'm pretty sure I'll be travelling during peak, but not on Virgin...will it matter that I'm using an Off-Peak return to travel?

No. The time restriction only applies for departing from or arriving into London Euston.
