Hi all,

Can anyone find a split ticket option which knocks money off my cheapest find so far please?

Two £20 advance singles are my best at the moment, for a total of £40.

Need to be in Liverpool before lunch time, and be back in Malton by 10pm, which is about the last train anyway.

There are some £11 Advances on the first and last Malton - Manchester Piccadilly services (arr. 09:19, dep: 20:42).

Connecting onto the 09:37 to Liverpool, £4 Advance, and the 19:22 from Liverpool, also £4 advance.

Total £30.

If you are 55 or over you can buy a TPE 'Club 55' return from Malton to Liverpool Lime St for £18 for the day you are travelling. This is a walk-on fare valid on TPE trains only (or can be bought from the TPE website).

Earliest outward is 6:53 from Malton, change at York or Leeds or Huddersfield or Manchester Piccadilly. Arrive Liverpool Lime St at 9:58.

Latest train back departs Lime St at 19:22 and change at Manchester Piccadilly or Huddersfild or Leeds or York to arrive at Malton at 22:33.

Later starts and earlier returns are possible on through trains between Malton and Liverpool Lime St.
