Well I hope that Bittern AKA D.O.N.Z. is used to haul Mallard to the departure dock.

From the look of it in the York Press today Mallard is to be taken by road to the docks then on the boat and rail hauled in Germany.
Why can't it be railed throughout except for the boat?

Read in Steam Railway that she's going right back to York when her holiday's up, thus returning my ultimate reason for visiting the NRM whenever I get the chance to.

Hopefully she'll be back before September.
