Mallard to Barrow Hill

Has this move got anything to do with Mallard going in the opposite direction for the Barrow Hill weekend or is she already there?

As far as I know, she's still at Barrow Hill, having moved there direct from Doncaster Works on Tues 17th. Following on from this thread;

It looks like the return to the NRM , and I would guess that the Deltic is doing the honours again. The only thing I can't understand is why, in the RTT service information, it's listed as ' Diesel locomotive trailing 2020 tonnes'. !

Mallard is due to be on display at Barrow Hill this weekend. I'm not sure how it gets back to York, as the Deltic is heading off with D6700 to the Severn Valley Railway on Monday (see http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U50697/2013/09/30/advanced for times).

Whatever the move was meant to be, it didn't happen - that link now shows as "cancelled throughout due to a problem with the schedule".

I'd guess the second one would be more interesting, timed for 45mph, while the earlier is for 75mph. Book your place on the footbridge now.

Mallard finally left Barrow Hill today (8 oct), sandwiched between two 56s.
Went out for it regular time, gave up and went home, only to discover it left 75 late - went out again, and just glimpsed it in the distance after it then gained time back to only 30 late by Swinton. Oh well.
Duck sandwich for lunch?
