Major signalling failure Southall 5 July 2017

As per title. Mass cancellations in and out of Paddington this evening as a result with passengers requiring information but GWR (Twitter) unable to say anything but "watch boards" as info will be shown when available. There are signal failures along the stretch between Paddington and Reading day in and day out.

Resolved and all lines now reopened, delays still as service attempts to recover.

Coupled with all the issues on SWT through Staines this evening, Reading had the rare moment that CrossCountry was the only TOC running to time for once!

Seems the Western Mainline really suffers in the heat, lots of delays last month coming out of Paddington and then in the West Country as well

In south London yesterday there was also a points failure near Loughborough Junction which knocked out the Catford Loop service during the afternoon, and also a significant issue (not sure if points failure or signalling issue) near Lewisham in the afternoon and evening which caused a lot of problems for Southeastern services.

I guess (and it is only a guess) that they were heat related.
