Major power failure in Paris area

Just had a call from the wife. She's stuck at a station called Bondy en route to Chalons. The announcements say that there has been a power failure and that 22.00 is the earliest thing might start to move again (It's currently just before 19.00 French time). Does anyone have any further information?

Reports on the IDFM website are that it cut at Magenta (Gare du Nord/Est)

This power failure affects Gare de l'Est specifically. Google's AI thinks it was started by the catenary falling on a train, followed by an supply failure, but non-one else does.


The latest news (Figaro, just now) is that services have been announced as restarting progressively from 20:00 at Gare de l'Est. At the same time all RER services are seriously affected by a variety of issues, of which the power cut at Magenta is just one.

A friend of mine - based in Paris - had to go to Reims yesterday for a work meeting. Her outward train (unspecified) was delayed for just over an hour....and her return train for more than four hours. With no air-conditioning for part of that time - and outside temperatures approaching 35° - she described the conditions as 'horrendous'.
