A serious incident at Brighton railway station has led to a major emergency response

A spokesman for Southern Rail said: "Earlier this afternoon paramedics were called to Brighton station after a passenger slipped between the train and one of the platforms.

"For around an hour, Southern ran a reduced service between Hove and Brighton, diverted via Preston Park.
