I have an interview coming up for the position of Maintenance Depot Driver with Northern Rail and was wondering what kind of questions to expect to help me prepare.

Have loads of examples of when you’ve done x,y,z. Research the STAR interview method online. Do research on Northern as a company, research on which ever depot you’ve applied for, and the sort of work they do (traction they drive, any third party work etc). Expect questions like, when have you worked to rules and followed procedures.

@AJB92 has given you a very solid answer. Obviously questions about the role, scenario based questions "Can you explain a time when you had to do X", knowledge based questions (safety, customer experience, communication etc.) and information about the depot / company.

The easiest question to overlook is "what do you know about Northern?"
The question is scored out of 10 points/marks do your research, find out what region the depot is in, who's the engineering director, and then general Northern history, who's the MD is. They want facts and figures.
