I'm absolutely terrible at these kinds of things, currently working as an MDD and looking to progress to the mainline. I'm in the process of preparing my CV for applications. This is what I have so far.
'I am a reliable and resilient individual currently working in the role of Maintenance Depot Driver. Through this role I have gained the necessary skills to work in a responsible manner, following set rules and procedures with proven concentration skills and the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team for long periods of time without losing focus. I communicate in a professional manner to ensure a safe working environment and work in accordance with the current rules and regulations as specified by the Network Rail Group Standard.
Through previous experience in customer service roles, I understand the importance of and aim to deliver a high standard of service to customers.
My time at the training school for the role of Maintenance Depot Driver as well as in the role itself has been a very pleasurable and rewarding experience. It has allowed me to further develop, as well as learn new skills. I have an ambition to further develop and utilize all skills and information learned to further my career on the railway and hope that you can consider my application to progress to the role of a mainline train driver.'
