Hello everyone,
Some time ago digital fraud team did mail to me I don't often watch mails ,but when I asked why they did mail to me then they asked my rail card that I used for traveling.
I said yes I have rail card and I have been to the address that was in mail no one was there. After that , I asked a staff of a ticket counter for the expiry date of rail card she put on the rail card so, I sent railcard photo to the Digital fraud team and I thought matter solved. However, after some time I again got mail from them as they said your proof wasn't clear enough and we sent your issue to transport police and they sent me the account no. to incur money from me ,but to be honest I am depressed with this I had rail card and I still kept the expired rail card and I still have new rail card as well also I asked many staff from ticket counter and ticket checker nobody know about it and I never applied for refund being international student I don't know anything about it what's going on please help me to solve the matter.
Thank you

Can you upload the correspondence you have had from them, with any identifying features (name, reference number) blanked out.

If you have had a valid railcard for all the journeys that you have made then you should not pay what they are asking, and keep the railcard to show as evidence. However, you do need to be sure that it was valid for all the journeys that they are questioning (have they given you a list?), else you may be in some difficulty.

Staff at railway stations will not be able to help you with this, as it's being dealt with by a central team.

I suspect that given English is not your first language, it is not helping you explain yourself clearly to them. We can help you with any letter you might draft, but maybe you also have a friend who can help too?

You could also try to get some help with this from your university or college international student office or students union. Perhaps you could ask them if they can help you.

You need to deal with the office that has written to you, by replying in writing (not trying to visit the office) and the staff at station ticket counters or ticket checkers will not be able to help.

As previous post - it would be a good idea to upload a copy of what they have sent you so people can advise the best way for you to to reply to what they are asking you.

It’s better to start your own thread even if your problem is similar. The original poster of this thread has never returned since posting his question, and it’s likely he won’t see your reply anyway.
